Why Mockingbird?

Very good question. Although I like to read, I would not consider myself a literary expert. I do however know what I like, and when it comes to good literature, To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, is at the top of my list. In the novel, the mockingbird is used as a recurring theme to represent innocence. I decided to use this as the title for my blog because I typically take pictures of either things in nature, or my children (Yes! Joe is one of my kids). Both have an innocence that I like to try to capture. I also thought the name would be great if I ever decided to start a business doing something with photography sometime in the (very) distant future.
